RP3 fans, no, lacrosse fans, no, Americans, yeah, Americans, come together to put Team USA’s Rob Pannell on the cover of the world-famous Wheaties box.
It’s the first time in the history of the brand, Wheaties giving the world the powerful decision making power of what athlete gets to be iconized on the next Wheaties box. This week kicks off the Wheaties NEXT Challenge which is sponsored by MapMyFitness. They are letting you select from 5 world-class athletes from five less popular sports. These athletes have to motivate you to workout for the chance to make the cover.
To be able to vote for Rob Pannell, you must log workouts through the MapMyFitness, manually, online, through any of the apps MapMyFitness, MapMyRun, MapMyRide, MapMyWalk or by connecting any one of the 400+ compatible devices.
The Wheaties NEXT Challenge runs through August 31, and Rob collects the most votes, he will appear on the Wheaties box in early 2015.

- Register for the Wheaties NEXT Challenge and select Rob Pannell
Once registered, you can immediately can begin logging workouts, every workout logged will count as one vote for Rob. Up to two workouts of 30 minutes or more can be logged each day.
As part of Wheaties NEXT, each athlete has also selected a charity of their choice for which they are competing. Upon completion of the competition, each charity will receive a donation from General Mills based upon the number of workouts logged for each athlete.
Rob will be supporting the Playworks charity.

Once you’re logged in you can follow the voting and so far Rob is in last place. It appears lacrosse isn’t haning with some of the more popular sports right now and the prizes page even spelled lacrosse without the “e” at the end. I challenge you to sign up, and even fake workout if you have to, RP3 and lacrosse deserve a Wheaties box.
Rob Pannell is representing lacrosse. Born in Smithtown, N.Y. Pannell has been playing lacrosse since high school. After a successful collegiate career at Cornell, where he was voted National Player of the Year, Pannell was the no. 1 draft choice in the 2012 Major League Lacrosse draft where he currently is an all-star for the New York Lizards.
