They’re not the shoes football needs. They’re the shoes football deserves. – Dan Carson, Bleacher Report
Kevin Plank, Kip Fulks, and the massive Under Armour team have struck gold with the licensing of superhero brands from Marvel and DC Comics. From the moisture-wicking superhero shirts to football gloves, it’s no surprise the new “Alter Ego” line became widely popular amongst kids and comic fans alike the moment it launched several months ago.
Then, just over a week ago, things got real.
UA announced the official release of Highlight Cleats decked out in Alter Ego style. As if enough elite lacrosse players weren’t already wearing Highlight Cleats, now we’re hearing about youngins showing up at practice ready to emulate Superman or The Hulk.
Everybody has their favorite superhero, and probably for reasons often overlooked. After all, the superheroes we idolize(d) as kids often teach(taught) us about life and what type of person we want to be, right? If you’re going to buy these cleats, you’re not going to pick a pair you don’t believe in!
So, the question we pose today is this – Which of these incredibly gifted crime fighters would you rather be?
C) Captain America
E) The Incredible Hulk
